Amtex Corp. Modular Building

A Wholesale Modular Manufacturer

One of the reasons that modular buildings are able to be constructed quicker than a brick and mortar building is because the modular process does not require one to wait for the previous stage to be completed before the next stage can start. For example, while the floors are being installed, the walls and roof are already being built so they can be ready to install immediately once the floor has been completed. Once a frame is completed, it is rolled into line to the floor shop. From the floor shop, a unit will be rolled into line awaiting the walls and roof to be installed. Once the base structure is in place, it is rolled into the final finish area to be completed. Once a building has been completely finished, it is then moved to our yard where it is cleaned and awaits it's time for transport to it's new home.

Modular is an ideal choice for most all building needs. The production line process of construction reduces the time for project completion and provides more consistent building quality. We employ craftsmen who are applied to their specific areas of expertise, assuring a proper job every time. Since our employees are able to concentrate on a specific area as opposed to having to spread themselves thin on an entire project, they become very good at what they do. Because of the efficiencies of how a Modular building is constructed, not only will you save time without sacrificing quality, but you can get all this at a greatly reduced cost too.

Step 1 - Frames

The frame of a modular building is one of the most important parts of the manufacturing process. Since this is the foundation of the entire structure, our welders start the project off right by welding the steel frame to meet Amtex's high quality standards of durability. Each frame is built with a 4' hitch for transportation purposes. Approximately 10% of the production process.

Step 2 - Floors

Once the steel frame is complete, the next phase is to install insulation under the flooring. Following the insulation comes a thick layer of plywood which is placed over the insulation for a sturdy floor. Approximately15% of the production process.

Step 3 - Walls

After the floor is solidly in place, the frame is ready to be rolled into the next stage where the walls have already been built and are ready to be installed. Approximately 15% of the production process.

Step 4 - Roof

The next step after the walls have been secured the building is moved into the next section where the roof/ceiling is lifted and lowered onto the structure where it too can become a permanent structure to the building. Approximate 15% of the production process.

Step 5 - Finish

This is the portion of the building process where are the final stages are performed to complete your project. Now that the basic structure has been complete, it's time to install all the electrical/plumbing, tile/carpet, windows, doors, light fixtures, wall coverings, install cabinets or other furniture, install restroom fixtures, and any other items that have been requested to make the building unique to your custom specifications. Approximately 45% of the production process.
