Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to build a modular building?
Typically it take (10) working days to complete a single unit from frame to
finish. Time in needed to order and receive materials, and additional time
will be needed to order any special custom materials that need to be
purchased and installed as well. Keep in mind that weather conditions could
possibly delay projected offline dates too. Depending on how busy the
market conditions are at any time, it can vary greatly when a building can
be put online for production, so please call to find what the lead time is
to have any new projects start.
What is the largest width
and length that can be built?
For transportation purposes, the largest width a single building can be
built is 18', and the largest length is 80'. If a larger building is
required, more floors will need to built to create a double wide, triple
wide, or whatever size requirements are needed. We can also build
multi-level floors such as a 2 story building.
Can you convert a
non-coded building you have in stock into a coded building?
Due to code standards for various states, it is not feasible to convert a
non-coded building into a coded one. Please send your request to receive a
quote to build a coded building to meet state specifications.
What states do you

We build for Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas,

materials if I need replacements or additions to a building?
Amtex typically does not stock additional materials. We generally only order

Why are the Amtex serial
number different from our requested box size?
The first (4-5) digits in our serial numbers represent the size of the unit

hitch. Example: Box Size=1256 Amtex Serial Number=1260. The last set of
number represents the serial number assigned to that building.
